Bear Trap eligibility calculator

Find the exact UTC moment you can rejoin the Bear Hunt. Enter your last participation date and time — the calculator applies the server's two-calendar-day cooldown and counts down to your next eligible window.

Last participation

Use the time you started attacking or joined the rally — not when the 30-minute hunt ended. The cooldown locks in from your attack moment.

How it works

The two-day calendar rule, explained

Bear Trap's personal cooldown isn't a fixed number of hours — it's measured in UTC calendar days, the same clock the game server runs on. The instant you attack doesn't matter nearly as much as which UTC date it falls on. You become eligible again the moment the second UTC day after your participation day begins, at 00:00:00 UTC.

Day 0

Participation day

You join or start a Bear Hunt rally at any time — morning, night, doesn't matter. This locks in your cooldown against this UTC calendar date.

Day 1

First reset day (locked out)

The entire next UTC calendar day — 00:00 to 23:59 UTC — passes. The first server reset happens at the start of this day, but you're still on cooldown for all of it.

Day 2

Eligible the instant it starts

As soon as the second UTC day begins — 00:00:00 UTC — your cooldown ends. You don't need to wait for a specific hour, just for that calendar date to arrive.

Worked example: If you participate on Monday at any time (UTC), you cannot participate again on Tuesday at all. You become eligible the instant Wednesday begins — 00:00:00 UTC — even if you originally attacked at 23:59 on Monday.

Frequently asked

Why does the exact time of my last attack not matter?
Because the cooldown counts whole UTC calendar days, not a 24 or 48-hour timer from the exact second you attacked. Two full server-day boundaries (00:00 UTC) must pass, and the clock resets to 00:00 UTC on the second day regardless of what time you originally joined.
My alliance runs two Bear Traps on the same day — can I do both?
No. The personal cooldown applies to you as a player, independent of which trap you use. If both traps fire on the same UTC day, you can pick either one, but only one hunt counts per your two-day cycle.
Is this the same as the old 46-hour cooldown?
No — that flat-hours cooldown was replaced by this calendar-day rule so players could freely swap between an alliance's two Bear Trap schedules. The date-based rule is generally more forgiving: attacking late in a UTC day can leave you eligible in as little as ~24 hours.
Does this calculator account for daylight saving time?
Yes. When you input local time, your browser's timezone (including DST) converts it to UTC automatically before the two-day rule is applied, so the result is always accurate for the actual server clock.
